Campaign Diaries - Central Region Day 3 September 22, 2018 Our final day of the campaign tour in the Central Region saw my team visit Agona East, Agona West, Gomoa Central, Awutu Senya East and Awutu Senya West Constituencies. The euphoria in the region and the enthusiasm to recapture our lost parliamentary seats and capture new ones was so refreshing and it was a sight to behold when executives took their turns to pledge their unalloyed commitment to winning the 2020 general elections. When elected Chairman, I intend to provide strategic Leadership towards a resounding victory in 2020. And it is possible with a United Front, A motivated & Relevant Grassroot, an Empowered Women & Youth and A party that is contemporary with modern ICT tools. Above all, the party yearns for a Leadership that is ACCESSIBLE, a leadership whose doors would not be closed to anyone and a leadership that is abreast with the plight of the grassroot. Our engagement with the constituency ex...
Campaign Diaries - Central Region Day 2 September 21, 2018 We visited Twifo Atti-Morkwa, Lower Hemang Denkyira, Komenda-Edinam-Eguafo-Abirem, Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa, Mfansteman, Ajumako-Enyam-Essiam and Effutu Constituencies on the second day of our campaign tour of the Central Region. The NDC lost a number of parliamentary seats in the Central Region in the last elections. However, we are poised to win back our majority in the Region as has been the general mood of the constituency executives. This is possible and this project will be on top of my to do list when elected National Chairperson. To the delegates, I continue to reiterate my desire to see a United Front for 2020, A motivated & relevant Branch, Women & Youth Empowerment and A contemporary party with modern ICT tools. Key to all these is my commitment to a Leadership that is ACCESSIBLE, a leadership whose doors would not be closed to anyone and a leadership that is abreast with the plight of the grassroot...

From Diaso to Dunkwa all the way to Cape Coast, it was evident that the party is ready and hungry to rescue Ghanaians from this unprecedented hardship imposed on us by the incompetent NPP government. I am convinced that with a visionary and strategic Leadership, victory 2020 is assured. My desire is to see a United Front for 2020, A motivated & Relevant Grassroot,Women & Youth Empowerment and A contemporary party with modern ICT tools. I remain committed to a Leadership that is ACCESSIBLE, a leadership whose doors would not be closed to anyone and a leadership that is abreast with the plight of the grassroot. Campaign Diaries GAR - Pt 2 begins Day 3 September 12, 2018 My team and I visited Tema East, Tema West, Ashiaman and La Dadekotopon constituencies as part of the campaign tour of the Greater Accra region. It was an overwhelmingly fruitful interraction with the executives of these wonderful constituencies. From Chairman to coopted member, you could sense their readiness to do all it takes to win political power. At Ashiaman, I was particularly taken aback by the fact that a constituency with 266 branches had no party office. These are some of unfortunate challenges that confront our party and I am committed to a Leadership that will make such instances an exception rather than a norm. I remain committed to a Leadership that is ACCESSIBLE and a leadership that is abreast with the plight of the grassroot. I am grateful to the constituency executives and I am convinced that we can make history and march on to victory in 2020. Vote for Accessible Leadership, Vote for Betty ...
Address the gaps in Ghana's justice delivery - Betty Mould Iddrisu Betty Mould Iddrisu, former Attorney General A former Attorney General, Mrs Betty-mould Iddrisu, has bemoaned the inequalities that blight the pursuance of justice in Ghana. "Without justice being seen to be done; without a reduction in the anomalies we have seen in the administration of justice, justice cannot be effectively served," she said. She made this observation during the launch of the Court Users Committee (CUC) on Friday at the Hospitality Centre, Tema, by the African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA). In a keynote address, Mrs. Iddrisu said: "there still exists a distinctive gap between the effective delivery of justice to ordinary people and the disadvantaged, and that was worrying." She pleaded with the judiciary to look at the several issues that affected the ordinary man, adding that, "Some of the issues are resource based, but others are everyday issues tha...
Campaign Diaries GAR - Pt 2 begins Day 2 September 12, 2018 Our campaign tour of the Greater Accra region took my team and I to Obuom-Domeabra, Anyaa Sowutuom, Weija-Gbawe and Ayawaso West Wuguon constituencies. Amidst heavy downpour,  the constituency executives defied the rains to meet my team. I am motivated by this show of commitment, passion and love for my campaign and the forward march of our great party. Throughout the campaign period I shall continue to reiterate my commitment to providing leadership that is ACCESSIBLE and a leadership that will work hand in hand with the party structures to deliver victory in 2020. I am grateful to the constituency executives and I am convinced that we can make history and march on to victory in 2020. Campaign Diaries GAR - Pt 2 begins Day 1 September 11, 2018 We resumed the campaign tour of the Greater Accra region by visiting Ayawaso East, Ayawaso Central, Ayawaso North and Dome Kwabenya constituencies. I had the opportunity of seeing first hand the plight of these constituencies from not having an office to not having a place for meeting and I intend to find innovative ways of solving these issues. Refreshingly however, I observed that regardless of the challenges, there is an unrelenting commitment by the constituency executives to work hard to ensure that the party comes to power. In this very hard economic atmosphere visited on us by the super incompetent and grossly insensitive NPP government, I encouraged the constituency executives to maintain a united front and the momentum into the 2020 elections. I am unwavering in my commitment to providing leadership that is ACCESSIBLE and a leadership that will work hand in hand with the party structures to deliver victo...

From Wa to Jirapa to Lawra through to BDI to Tumu and to Nandom, we visited all the 11 constituencies of the region. Our engagements were in a 'family' atmosphere as my husbands, sons and daughters pledged their unflinching support for my campaign. I reiterated my desire to see a united front for victory in 2020, my passion for women, youth and zongo empowerment, the need for a motivated and relevant grassroot and my commitment to providing leadership that is ACCESSIBLE. My condolence to the family of the late Comfort Obnee, deputy treasurer of Nandom Constituency whose untimely death came as a blow to us all. May her soul rest in perfect pe...

Campaign Diaries - GAR Pt 1 ends

September 7, 2018 Day 2 The team visited the Ada, Sege and Tema Central constituencies on Day 2 of the campaign tour of the Greater Accra region. The reception was resoundingly overwhelming and the interaction lively. The constituency executives made known their expections of the next Leadership of our dear party and expressed confidence in my ability to provide that kind of Leadership. I presented my campaign message and touched on the core values of the NDC. I spoke about the need to be united for victory 2020 in order to save Ghanaians from the economic hardship imposed on them by the NPP government. The general feeling was that the party must do all it can to return to power in 2020 but the executives were unanimous in their caution that we must and should NOT do the same old things. Their sentiments were genuine and their commitment to see the NDC in power again, visible. I promised to work hand in hand with them to bring the paradigm shift. One word that caught everyo...

I am overwhelmed by the resounding reception given me and particularly grateful to all the constituency executives who endorsed my candidature to become the National Chairperson of the NDC. The constituency executives of Okaikoi Central could not hide their joy over the historic nature of my candidature and so gave me a STANDING OVATION. Together with you, we will make history and continue with the momentum to victory in 2020. Vote Accessible Leadership, Vote Betty Mould Iddrisu for National Chairperson...

Historic filing of Nomination

In a historic moment, I successfully filed my nomination forms to contest as National Chairperson of the great NDC. My party, the NDC, is on course to chalk yet another first. Just as I was made the first female Attorney General, I believe my party will reward my competence, continuous dedication and loyalty by voting massively to make me the first female Chairperson of a major political party. I commit myself to a very decent campaign and my campaign would focus solely on my competence, message and what I can bring to the table. Let us not sacrifice competence on the altar of self interest or bitterness. Vote Accessible Leadership, Vote Betty Mould Iddrisu as your next National Chairperson. Signed Mrs Betty Mould Iddrisu National Chairperson aspirant
