Campaign Diaries - Upper East Region
Day 1 & 2
September 28, 2018
My team kicked off the Campaign tour of the Upper East Region by paying a courtesy call on the Regional Executives in Zuarungu and met with the constituency executives of Bolga East shortly thereafter.
Day 2 of the tour saw us visiting Bolga Central, Talensi, Nabdam, Tempane, Garu, Pusiga, Bawku Central, Binduri and Zebilla constituencies.
The NDC has 12 parliamentary seats out of the 15 in the Upper East Region. However, the NPP is bent on doing all it takes to win some of these seats but the resolve of the constituency executives in our constituencies is to leave nothing to chance. I intend to commit maximum effort to this project and also aim at winning a 100% of the parliamentary seats in the Upper East Region when elected National Chairperson.
To the delegates, I continue to reiterate my desire to see a United Front for 2020, A motivated & relevant Branch, Women & Youth Empowerment and A contemporary party with modern ICT tools. Key to all these is my commitment to a Leadership that is ACCESSIBLE, a leadership whose doors would not be closed to anyone and a leadership that is abreast with the plight of the grassroot.
I shall continue to engage the constituency executives in a candid, cordial and open manner as has been my hallmark with all my interactions on this campaign. My message of gender inclusion and leadership was emphatically received in these constituencies. The call for a woman of substance , courage & competence to lead the Party to success was even much louder. They believed that I am their clear choice to lead the party to 2020.
I am grateful to the constituency executives for their host of excellent comments, suggestions, queries and prayers, and I am convinced that we can make history and march on to victory in 2020.
Vote for Accessible Leadership,
Vote for Betty Mould Iddrisu for National Chairperson
