Campaign Diaries - Ashanti Region November 3, 2018 Day 1 & 2 My team and I began our campaign tour of the Ashanti Region by visiting Ejura-Sekyedomase, Mampong, Nsuta Kwamang, Afigya Sekyere East, Kwabre East and Old Tafo Constituencies. On Day 2, Team Betty visited Sekyere Afram Plains, Kumawu, Effiduase Asokore, Juaben, Ejisu and Oforikrom constituencies. We first paid a courtesy call on the Regional Executives and presented my message on the five thematic areas and the need for a paradigm shift to ensure victory in 2020. It was refreshing to be in my own home region where I have been doing my politics since 1992. The warm reception that greeted my visits to these constituencies means my sacrifices and efforts towards the development of the NDC in the region has not gone unnoticed. In the traditional stronghold of the NPP, the hostilities towards NDC members means the regional and constituency executives have very glaring challenges in making the branches work. ...
Campaign Diaries - Eastern Region October 30, 2018 Day 3, 4 and 5 Team Betty visited Afram Plains North, Abetifi, Mpraeso, Nkawkaw, Abirem and Ofoase-Ayirebi constituencies on Day 3 of the Campaign tour of the Eastern Region. On Day 4, we visited Akim Oda, Akim Swedru, Achiase, Asene Manso Akroso, Akwatia, Ayensuano and Yilo Krobo Constituencies. My team and I finally visted Asuagyaman,  Lower Manya Krobo, Upper Manya Krobo, Okere, Akropong and Akuapem South on the final day of our campaign tour of the Eastern Region. We were amazed that party executives were energized and working round the clock to keep the NDC spirit alive in hostile and inhospitable environment of traditional NPP strongholds. The situation where constituency executives travel over 12hours by canoe in order to meet their branches, emphasizes the need to put measures in place to motivate the constituency and branch executives for victory in 2020. My message of Accessible Leadershiphas been well r...
Campaign Diaries - Eastern Region September 28, 2018 Day 1 & 2 Team Betty visited Upper West Akim, Lower West Akim and Nsawam Adoagyiri constituencies on Day 1 of the Campaign tour of the Eastern Region. On Day 2, my team and I visited New Juaben South, New Juaben North, Abuakwa South, Abuakwa North, Fanteakwa North, Fanteakwa South, Atiwa West and Atiwa East constituencies. I delivered my message on the five thematic areas which are: Accessible Leadership; United front for 2020; A motivated and Relevant Grassroot; Women, youth and Zongo empowerment and Making the Party Contemporary with ICT tools. The constituency executives agreed with me on the need to put the right measures in place to ensure that in the foreseeable future each constituency owns a party office. This however requires strategic Leadership and direction which I will bring on board. The constituency executives in the constituencies without sitting MPs bemoaned the lack of resources since they are ...
Campaign Diaries - Volta Region October 22, 2018 Day 3, 4 and 5 Team Betty visited Krachi Nchumuru, Nkwanta North, Nkwanta South, Akan and Buem constituencies on Day 3 of the Campaign tour of the Volta Region. On Day 4, we visited Hohoe, Ho West, Afadjato South, Akatsi North, Ketu North, Akatsi South and Keta Constituencies. My team and I finally visted Ketu South,  Anlo, South Tongu, Central Tongu and North Tongu on the final day of our campaign tour of the Volta Region. My tour of these constituencies brought to bear the infrastructural deficits in our stronghold. I agree with the pervasive view that much more should have been done to uplift the road and transport network throughout the Volta Region. These imperative needs alone provide the justification for the NDC's massive infrastructural development drive. The need for a change in government became even more compelling as I experienced at first hand the terrible nature of the roads in the Volta Region whilst mo...
